‘Skeeter’ Stephens (3-4-13)

WINDER – Martha “Skeeter” Stephens, 73, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late William Meyer and Myrtle Sabrina Anderson. She retired from Wal-Mart as a retail sales associate and loved to play Spider Solitaire on her computer. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Jarrold Eugene Stephens; and a brother, James Meyer.

Survivors include sons, Alan (Wanda) Stephens, Manistique, Mich., and Bruce Stephens, Winder; daughter, Rhonda (Larry) Smith, Winder; three grandchildren, Chris Cruse, Michael Cruse, and Jeremy Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Cruse and Aiden Cruse.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Shuford Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder.
