A 72-year-old white male who lives on the Ila Road came to the Commerce Police Department to report getting a collection notice from a company representing Sprint, seeking payment of a $435 bill.
The problem, the man said, is that he’s never had a Sprint phone or phone contract.
The collection notice included an offer to settle the account for payment of $304.53.
