Charles Davis (3-11-13)

HOSCHTON - Charles Edwin Davis, 80, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013.

He was born in Atlanta, the son of the late Thomas Andrew and Annie Mae Joiner Davis. He was retired from Dobbins Air Force Base as the Chief of Christ Rescue Department with many years of service. Mr. Davis was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jefferson.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Davis, Hoschton; daughters, Janis Dack, Shady Dale, and Judy Fisher, Covington; son, Scott Davis, Ball Ground; stepdaughters, Ann Mell, Lawrenceville, and Linda Cash, Flowery Branch; sister, Dorothy Felts, Duluth; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Alewine officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
