After four rain out games, the Banks County Middle School Leopards baseball team played their first home game of the season against the Jackson County Panthers on Wednesday of last week.
The Leopards were led by Judd Roberts with 2 hits and 4 RBI’s and Griffin Goodwin with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Also with a hit was Walker Rogers, Easton Staton and Jadon Clark. The final score was 6 to 0.
Griffin Goodwin earned the win on the mound for the Leopards with 9 strike-outs, one hit and only one walk.
After the win on Wednesday, the Leopards traveled to East Jackson on Thursday with a 15-0 win defeat against the Eagles in four innings.
Leading the way for the Leopards was Walker Rogers with 3 hits and 4 RBI’s with Judd Roberts on his heels with 3 hits and 3 RBI’s. Also with hits was Griffin Goodwin, Zane Millwood, Easton Staton and Jadon Clark. Goodwin, Staton and Clark all with an RBI.
CJ Thomas was on the mound for the Leopards for 3 innings and Zane Millwood finishing up the fourth inning for the Leopards.
