JEFFERSON - Annie Lou Manley, 89, died peacefully in her sleep curled up in her favorite chair on Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
She was born in Commerce, the daughter of the late Ardell and Ethel Howington Anthony. She was loved by everybody and a mother to many people throughout her life. She always took care of others when she was able and always read her bible. She was retired from Chandlers Pharmacy in Atlanta as a pharmacy technician. Mrs. Manley was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Manley; and grandson, Nick Jones.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Manley, Mims, Fla.; grandson, Garrett Shockley; great-grandchildren, London Jones and Sienna Jones; niece, Dianne Manley Fornear, Titusville, Fla.; great-nieces, Misty Wilson, Cristy Hornsby, and Jessica Manley; and a great-nephew, Kevin Manley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 16, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Ivester officiating. Interment was in Cabin Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
