Vonna McClung (3-17-13)

MARIETTA - Vonna McClung, 53, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at her mother's home in Commerce, following an extended illness.

She was born in Champaign, Ill., the daughter of Betty McDuffie McClung of Commerce and the late Johnnie McClung. Vonna was employed at Cobb County Water Authority in Marietta for 12 1/2 years as Business Service Coordinator. Vonna was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt, who will be deeply missed, but who is in Heaven with her dad.

Survivors in addition to her mother include a brother, Norm McClung, Acworth; sister, Donna (Susie) Bowers, Commerce; niece, Leanne Samples (Will); and one great-niece, Madison Faith Samples.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, at Gillsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Calhoun, Glenn Page and Chuck Byrge officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
