Worley ordeal under FBI review

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the files from the city of Monroe’s ongoing internal investigation of Steve Worley, who in January lost his job as that city’s public works director but continues to serve on the Barrow County Board of Commissioners. Monroe officials last week were winding up their internal investigation when they received an unexpected inquiry from the FBI’s Atlanta office.
