‘Bob’ Hill Sr. (3-19-13)

HOMER - Rev. Robert “Bob” Allan Hill, Sr., 85, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at his residence.

He was born in Atlanta, the son of the late Fred Gordon and Mae Henderson Hill. He was a member of Webbs Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Hill graduated from Boys High School, Bob Jones University, and Southern Seminary. He pastored at Webbs Creek Baptist, Homer Baptist, Duluth First Baptist, Millville Baptist, Kenwood Baptist, Sand Spring Baptist in Lawrenceburg, Ky., Cedar Creek Baptist, and Louisville Baptist. Rev. Hill was preceded in death by a sister, Marion Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Hovis Hill, Homer; daughter, Margaret Hill McCall, Homer; sons, Robert Allan Hill, Jr., Louisville, Ky., and John Gordon Hill, Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren, Natalie Hill-Miller, Weston Hill, Lauren McCall, John McCall, Micah McCall, Adam Hill and Megan Hill; and great-grandchildren, Harrison Hill-Miller and Jackson Hill-Miller.

Funeral services will be at held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at Webbs Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Stacey Phillips and Wade Lott officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.
