The man who allegedly sold the methadone to an 18-year-old Winder teen who died on Valentine’s Day was arrested March 14 and bonded out of the Barrow County Detention Center two days later. Sheriff Jud Smith said Terry Littleton, 25, was charged with criminal attempt to distribute a controlled substance and use of a communication facility in commission of a criminal attempt to distribute a controlled substance. Based on cell phone text messages, investigators believe that on Feb. 13, a Winder-Barrow Middle School teacher named Emily Jones contacted Littleton to help Morgan Wages of Winder illegally purchase the painkiller, methadone. Wages was found dead in her bed just before noon on Feb. 14.
