The Braselton Antique & Gardening Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 28.
This is a semi- annual event that takes place the fourth weekend of every April and October. This year will be the 10th anniversary and it's anticipated that over 10,000 festival goers will attend.
"When I first took over the festival in the fall of 2008, it was 36 booths at it's largest and was contained to Braselton Park,” said festival coordinator and Countryside Antiques owner Donna Cannella. “Today. the festival is made up of 100+ booths with dealers coming from all over the metro area as well as the Carolinas."
Prior to each festival, Cannella begins attending other events in search of antique dealers and booths containing unique and re-purposed items. She also send applications to dealers who have previously participated in the festival and many dealers join based of word of mouth.
This year booths will be set up inside Braselton Park, and along Harrison and Frances streets. Downtown Braselton will be filled with booths featuring antiques, primitives, architectural pieces, furniture, vintage jewelry, folk pottery, repurposed pieces, sports memorabilia, wood working, local artists, outdoor ironworks, a broad variety of trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, including rare & unusual plants. On Saturday, Life South will be hosting a blood drive across from the park entrance.
Parking and admission for the festival are free.
