WINDER – Jordan Ian Bracken-Howley, 17, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013.
He was born on March 9, 1996, in Utica, N.Y. He was a very bright light in the lives of all who knew him and will be remembered for his kind heart, witty sense of humor and sly smile, loved ones stated. He was an advanced placement student, dedicated football player and former band member at Apalachee High School. He was involved in Cub Scouts Pack 750, where he received the Arrow of Light and was an employee of Stevie B’s Pizza.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Bonny and Robert Babiarz, Winder; father and stepmother, John and Tracy Howley, Alabama; two brothers, Paul Klotz, New York, and Rian Babiarz, Winder; material grandmother, Mary Jane Tinkler, New York; paternal grandfather, John D. Howley, New Jersey; step-grandfather, Robert W. Babiarz, Lawrenceville; aunts, uncles and cousins, Kathy and Keith Jones, Florida; Sherry Bracken and Sharon, Putnam, N.Y., Randy Tinkler, N.Y., Cindy and Glenn McGilvray, Lawrenceville; Bill and Missy Babiarz, Buford; Suzanne and Jeff Kearse, Lawrenceville, Ed Babiarz, Lawrenceville; Michelle Griffin, Lawrenceville; Ann and Mike Poorman, New York; Jennifer and George Nemo, Virginia; Kevin Howley, Texas; Steven Howley and Brett Santoli, New York; Aisling Howley, New Jersey; Beth Santarsiero, Texas, Amanda and Josh Bracken; Gage Tinkler, Emily, Nick and Duncan McGilvray; Zachary, Jacob and Sarah Babiarz; Braeden Kearse, Katie and Julia Poorman; George, Justin and Quinlin Nemo; Abrielle Howley; Archer and Beatrix Santoli ;and Jordan’s best friend, Lindsey Smith.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home Saturday, July 27, prior to the memorial service. The memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Spencer Breedlove officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community and Southern Bank for Robert “Rian” Babiarz College Savings Fund.
