The Commerce Tigers (1-1) rallied to score 19 consecutive points in the fourth quarter, pushing past rival East Jackson (1-1) last Friday.
East Jackson held a 7-0 lead throughout the first three quarters of play, with the first score coming off of a short run by DeAngelo Moore following a Commerce fumble near the goal line.
The game was filled with penalties and turnovers throughout, with Commerce fumbling on several possessions.
After two consecutive rushing scores by Drew Whitfield, the Tigers sealed the deal when Commerce defensive back Caleb Brooks intercepted an Eagle pass, and took it 54 yards to the end zone.
The Tiger defense held off a final Eagle drive, holding on for the a 19-7 win.
Whitfield led the Tigers offense, rushing for 84 yards on 19 carries and scoring two touchdowns. Chance McClure had eleven rushes for 54 yards. McCLure also led the Tiger defense with 10 tackles.
Austin Beauchamp was the Eagles' leading rusher, with 27 yards on eleven attempts.
East Jackson quarterback Cody Hardwick was 6 of 20 for 41 yards.
The Tigers will travel to Banks County next Friday for an away matchup with the 0-2 Leopards.
East Jackson will return home to face East Hall (1-1) next week.
