Danielsville is the only municipality that will have a council election this fall.
Former mayor Philip Croya qualified last week to run against current mayor Todd Higdon for the mayor’s seat in November.
Incumbent council members Tim Stamps and Jamie Spurlin were the only two others to qualify for their current positions at the council table, so there will be no election for those seats.
In Hull, current mayor Paul Elkins decided not to seek re-election, so lone mayoral qualifier Michael F. Jones will serve as mayor of Hull beginning Jan. 1.
Qualifying for the council seat whose term was expiring was Paige Phillips, the current council member. As there were no other qualifiers, there will be no local election in 2013.
In Comer, incumbent mayor Jody Blackmon and incumbent members Jimmy Yarbrough and Laquita Bridges were the only ones to qualify for their currently held council seats.
In Colbert, incumbents also qualifying were mayor Chris Peck, and council members Tim Wyatt and Roger Fortson.
