The Town of Braselton Community Improvement District (CID) board of directors at a meeting on Monday, Oct. 7, unanimously approved a resolution to adopt the Barrow County millage rate at five mills.
A quorum was met with Denzil Wasson, Scott Snecedor, Peggy Slappey, Jennifer Dees and Phil Christian.
The CID is the group responsible for the creation of the Braselton LifePath, a 1.7-mile multi-use pathway connecting parts of the town’s business district.
Also at the Oct. 7 meeting, the CID board of directors:
•approved an invoice from ISC Inc, Commerce, the project contractors, in the amount of $17,000 for phase I of the LifePath, which Snecedor said is “complete.”
•the group is now in the position of seeking out final sign offs by the Georgia Department of Transportation for permitting on the path, which opened for public use in July. Chairman Snecedor said he is supposed to meet Tuesday with the GDOT and hopes to be in a better position to proceed.
•approved minutes from its Sept. 23 meeting.
