A WOODMOUNT Lane, Jefferson, woman reported to police that she thought her husband was smoking drugs out of a pipe in their bathroom last week, according to a Jefferson Police Department incident report. The police came to take the report and with the wife’s consent searched their living room couch, but were unable to turn up a pipe.
The woman’s husband when questioned said that he was not smoking anything but cigarettes and knew nothing about a pipe. While on the call, officers destroyed three metal pipes, one wood pipe, rolling papers and a small plastic bag they believed to contain marijuana residue. The husband and wife slept in separate rooms for the night, the report states, and no charges were filed. Two days following that incident, the husband texted an investigator to say he found one of his hunting knives near his wife’s bed.
