The Madison County Red Raiders posted their fourth win of the season after defeating Walnut Grove 41-6 on Friday night.
It was a quarterback showcase for Madison County with Ethan South rushing for one touchdown and throwing for two more scores. Cade Hancock tossed one touchdown and rushed for a score in the blowout.
Madison County took advantage of two early fumbles that aided to Raider scores. Following the first Warrior turnover, South hit Cameron Stevenson for a 29-yard touchdown run midway through the opening quarter. Early in quarter number two, South scored from one yard out and later bolted for a 46-yard touchdown quarterback keep to increase the Raider score to 21-0.
Late in the second quarter, Cade Hancock strolled down the Raider sideline en route to a 30-yard touchdown run.
Hancock later connected with Garrison Harris on a 47-yard touchdown pass play to put the Raiders out to a 35-6 lead. Harris showcased a few outstanding moves after making the reception on his way to the end zone.
The Raiders added a final touchdown run by Xavier Duncan who rushed in from four yards out to close the scoring.
The Raiders defense held Walnut Grove to zero yards in the final quarter of play.
