An ATM machine was stolen from a Hwy. 211 location on Nov. 28 by someone who first stole a forklift to use in the crime.
The Braselton Police Department responded to an alarm call and found the Caterpillar style boon forklift parked beside of the ATM drive thru and still running. The area where the ATM had been located was littered with plastic debris and had wire sticking out of the ground.
The officer noted that it appeared as if someone had stolen the forklift from the construction site behind the bank and used it to pull the ATM up the road and load it onto another vehicle.
