A man called 911 to report that his wife attempted to stab him with scissors and hit him with a hammer while she was drunk. When officers arrived to the Bailey Farms address, the complainant was cut on his hand in two places and he was bleeding, but he refused medical treatment.
He said his wife became irate when he told her he wanted a divorce. The wife reportedly turned over the coffee table and Christmas tree in the house causing a vase to break. The suspect also threw the victim’s cell phone against the wall, breaking it, he told police.
He said he was sitting on the couch when she got a pair of scissors and began poking him in the arm with them. He told her to stop and then pulled the scissors from her hands. He then got his shoes and jacket and attempted to go outside through the downstairs door to the garage when she followed him with a hammer. Once he was outside, he closed the door, he said. As he locked the door, she struck it with a hammer.
Police arrested the woman and took her to jail.
