A father and son were arrested Sunday in a home invasion at a Spratlin Estates residence in Jefferson. William Jason Ford, 41, and Jordan William Ford, 17, Jefferson, were both charged with burglary, armed robbery and aggravated assault. The father was also charged with felony obstruction.
The Jefferson Police Department received a call around 2:15 p.m. Sunday to a home invasion in Spratlin Estates. When an officer arrived at the scene, he saw a man running out of the house with what appeared to be blood on his face and saying, “They’re in there. They have knives and pepper spray.”
The officer said he went into the home, where he smelled pepper spray and a woman said, “They are that way,” and pointed down the hallway.
The officer said he found two men on the floor, being held down by two other men. One of the men holding him down had a knife in his hand, which he said he got off of one of the suspects. The officer noted that the smell of pepper spray was so strong that it made it difficult to breathe.
The police officer called for back up and the two men were taken into custody. One of the men did not follow the verbal instructions of the officer and was “Tased” during the arrest.
