The Barrow County Board of Education will move forward with the search for a new superintendent and hopes to fill the position by May.
Last Thursday, the board approved King-Cooper and Associates for superintendent search services with a bid of $8,250 plus travel (not to exceed $1,000). The board will meet next week to create a timeline and begin developing survey criteria.
The BOE plans to put an emphasis on community, business and school staff input.
