The following people were sentenced recently in the Superior Court of Jackson County:
•William Carter Gary, child molestation — 10 years confinement, 10 years probation, no contact with victim, no contact with any child under the age of 18, a $2,000 counseling fee, register as a sex offender and a $1,500 fine. Dismissed: aggravated child molestation and child molestation.
•Christopher G. Stewart, burglary and battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA) — seven months confinement with credit for time served, 10 years probation, no contact with victim, family violence intervention program and a $1,000 fine.
•Kevin Albert, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, 12 months probation, waive fourth amendment rights and a $750 fine. Dismissed: two counts of possession of firearms by a convicted felon.
•LaTasha Shonta Roebuck, theft by receiving stolen property — three years probation, forfeit firearm and a $500 fine.
•Michael Lee Good, burglary in the second degree, possession of methamphetamine and reckless conduct — five years probation, complete residential substance abuse treatment (RSAT), waive fourth amendment rights and a $1,000 fine.
•Timothy Matthew Osborn, obstruction of officers (felony) — five years probation, waive fourth amendment rights, alcohol and drug evaluation and treatment and a $1,000 fine. Dismissed: possession of alprazolam, obstruction of an officer, DUI-drugs less safe, DUI-alcohol less safe, and failure to maintain a lane.
•Nathan Conrad Simms, criminal damage to property in the second degree — four years probation, restitution, no contact with victim or her family, restitution and a $1,000 fine.
•Crysta Michelle Gerber, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of tools for the commission of a crime — five years probation, waive fourth amendment rights and a $1,000 fine. Dismissed: possession of marijuana and driving without a license.
•Tony Lee Webb, theft by receiving a motor vehicle — 10 years probation, waive fourth amendment rights, alcohol and drug evaluation and treatment and a $500 fine.
•Richard Douglas Adams, possession of cocaine — three years probation, complete Residetial Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT), waive fourth amendment rights and a $750 fine.
•Ronald W. Sowards, battery-FVA, obstruction of a 911 call and two counts of simple battery — four years probation, family violence intervention program and mental health evaluation and treatment.
•Jermaine Burns, possession of cocaine — five years probation, waive fourth amendment rights, alcohol and drug evaluation and treatment, random drug screens, no drugs or alcohol and a $1,000 fine.
•Richard Burns, possession of cocaine — five years probation, waive fourth amendment rights, alcohol and drug evaluation and treatment, random drug screens, no drugs or alcohol and a $1,000 fine.
•Emily Chester Perry, obstruction of an officer and simple battery-FVA — 12 months probation, waive fourth amendment rights, no violent contact with victim, alcohol and drug evaluation and treatment, random drug screens, no drugs or alcohol and a $500 fine.
Cases Dismissed
The court dismissed the following cases:
•Bobby Edward Goolsby, theft by receiving stolen property and four counts of possession of firearms by convicted felons.
•Ronald William Sowards, false imprisonment, family violence battery, obstructing or hindering a person making a 911 calls and third-degree cruelty to children.
