Last week, a White Street, Hoschton, woman reported harassing phone calls to law enforcement that she had reportedly been receiving from a man she met on a website called http://www.meetme.com, according to a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office incident report. The messages ranged from vulgar to suicidal.
A sheriff’s deputy called the man and told him not to contact the complainant anymore.
Other incidents reported in the West Jackson area:
•harassing phone calls were reported at a Jackson Trail Road, Hoschton, business, where the owner called police after an employee received several phone calls from a recently separated spouse.
•a deputy patrolling near the Jackson Park subdivision in Hoschton saw a truck he suspected had a mismatched tag. He located the driver of the truck, but the driver said the truck belonged to a friend, and he did not have any insurance. The deputy had the truck towed from the premises.
