A customer of a Mexican restaurant in Jefferson called 911 to report he discovered a piece of straw paper in his burrito during lunch, according to a police report. The man said he did not eat the paper and he finished his meal and paid.
He apparently called police after he vomited on the sidewalk, but when an officer responded, the complainant was walking around talking on the phone and smoking a cigarette, the officer reported.
One of the waiters said the customer showed him the piece of paper that was in his burrito, and the waiter said he told him he did not see the paper come from the food. The waiter also told the officer that the customer failed to mention he had two or three shots of straight tequila before he ate his meal, which was during his lunch break at work.
The complainant refused an ambulance, stating that his fiancé would drive from Athens to pick him up and take him to the hospital because he was sick.
