ROYSTON - Betty Sandra Fowler Bowen Chatham, 67, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in Royston on August 28, 1946, the daughter of the late Dewey Brock Fowler and the late Pearl Stephens Fowler. She was a payroll clerk having worked for Kendall Company, later known as Veratec and BBA. Mrs. Chatham was a member of New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville, where she was also a member of The Women of Hope Club. Mrs. Chatham was preceded in death by a grandson, A.J. Chatham.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Chatham, Royston; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Rodney Shubert, Royston; step-sons, Scotty Chatham and wife, Tonya, Commerce, and Tony Chatham, Commerce; grandchildren, Allie and Austin Shubert, Zach, Shane and Hayden Chatham; brother, James Kelly Fowler, Florida; and a sister, Carolyn Waldroup, Ila.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at the New Hope Worship Center with the Revs. Mike Spence, Tim Beasley, Todd West, and Dennis Kesler officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4. The family is at the home.
