DANIELSVILLE - Douscie Mae Haynie Long, 95, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Long was born in Danielsville on November 14, 1918, the daughter of the late Youlis C. Haynie and Nellie Collins Haynie. She was a forklift driver having worked for Johnson & Johnson and was a member of the New Hope Worship Center in Danielsville. Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alton Long; and two sons, James Allen Long and Alvin Long.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bill Scott, Bowman; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Haynie Keen, Lakeland, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, at the New Hope Worship Center with the Revs. Mike Spence, Tim Beasley and Mike Petty officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4. The family is at the home.
