BETHLEHEM - Ella Pearl Bradley, 80, wife of Jackie Bradley, formerly of Looneyville and Spencer, W. Va., died peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her residence.
She was born August 10, 1933, in Linden, W.Va. She graduated from Spencer High School and was part of the marching band under “Doc Brown.” She was an active member of Linden Chapter of Eastern Star for over 50 years. Leader of the Linden Happy Workers 4H Club and parent volunteer for the Clover Elementary 4H Club. She was co-owner of Bradley’s Store in Looneyville.
She was a loving wife, mother of five children, grandmother to six grandchildren, great-grandmother to seven and loved by many more.
Mrs. Bradley was preceded in death by her parents, Opie and Elizabeth Dye; siblings, Creek Dye and Peggy Dye Spencer; and a son, David Bradley.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jack Bradley; sister, Lula Belle and husband, Patrick Lowe; four of her children, Margaret Ann Crowe and son-in-law Lindsey Crowe, Wayne Bradley and daughter-in-law Karen Funk Bradley; Melissa and son-in-law, Bradford Hamlett, and Myron Todd Bradley and daughter-in-law, Linda Grace Bradley.
A small service at the home was held Sunday, March 2. Services in Roane County will follow. Her remains will be interred at Epling Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Looneyville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Roane County 4H in her name.
