HOMER – Hazel Gwendolyn Simmons, 82, died Sunday, March 9, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Howard and Blanche Chambers Pritchett. Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Simmons; a brother, Swayne Pritchett; and grandson, Paul Simmons. She was a member of the Homer Baptist Church and was retired from Blue Bell after 34 years of service. She was a homemaker and loved gardening.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Donna Simmons; daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Obie Faulkner, Cheryl and Terry O’Kelley, and Heather Simmons; grandchildren, Scott, Chad, Howard, Brandee, and Heather; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Lacey; and many cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Homer Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m., from the Homer Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Crabbe officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
