A man fresh out of jail could be on his way back to jail, according to a pair of Commerce Police Department incident reports.
An 18-year-old black female summoned police to report that she’d picked up the 24-year-old black male at the Jackson County Jail. The man was supposed to remove his belongings from her apartment and leave, but she told police that he “got violent.” She tried to call police, but she said he hung up her phone, grabbed her by the hair, dragged her into the kitchen, yelled at her and slapped her.
He departed just as police arrived.
Later that night the woman called again. She said the same man had entered her residence and taken money her mother had given her off a table next to her. He said the man claimed that the money was his.
