The Jefferson boys' track and field team picked up its third win of the season with victories in seven events during a Wednesday home meet.
The Dragons finished with 80 points, beating North Hall (69) and Apalachee (27).
James Howard won the 200 meters and 400 meters, and Alex Mason won the 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. In the relay events, the 4 x 100 meter team of Tyler McCrary, Satchel Turpin, Rodney Carr and Howard won, as did the 4 x 400 meter team of McCrary, Josh Reid, T.J. Skelton and Alex Parrish. In the pole vault, Mason Hamrick picked up another victory.
In the girls' meet, the Lady Dragons won six events in a second-place finish..
Jaclyn Coleman won the 200 meters, Savannah Dale won the 400 meters and Camille Porter won the 800 meters. The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Coleman, Madison Dills, Dale and Taylor Love won, as did the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Coleman, Dills, Porter and Dale. Heather Perry finished first in the pole vault.
North Hall, with 64 points, barely edged out Jefferson for the victory. The Lady Dragons finished with 61 points. Apalachee was third with 42 points.
