Spring sports scoreboard for March 19-25
•JEFFERSON (BOYS) 160, EAST JACKSON 181, COMMERCE 189: The Dragons enjoyed their lowest round this season in winning a tri-match against a pair of rivals Wednesday at Double Oaks. Jefferson freshman Charlie Jarrett shot a season-low 36 to lead Jefferson to the win, which came in the tough conditions of both aerated greens and cool weather. Daniel Kimmel also carded a sub-40 round, shooting a 39. Hunter Gatlin added a score of 40, and Cooper Young shot a 45 to round out the scoring.
•JEFFERSON (GIRLS) 94, COMMERCE 100, EAST JACKSON 121: Madison Cornes and Jill Pratt each shot 47 to lead the Lady Dragons to a win in a tri-match against two intra-county foes.
•JEFFERSON (BOYS) 80, NORTH HALL 69, APALACHEE 27: The Dragons picked up their third win of the season with victories in seven events during a Wednesday home meet. James Howard won the 200 meter and 400-meter races, and Alex Mason won the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. In the relay events, the 4 x 100 meter team of Tyler McCrary, Satchel Turpin, Rodney Carr and Howard won, as did the 4 x 400 meter team of McCrary, Josh Reid, T.J. Skelton and Alex Parrish. In the pole vault, Mason Hamrick picked up another victory.
•NORTH HALL 64, JEFFERSON (GIRLS) 61, APALACHEE 42: The Lady Dragons won six events in a second-place finish at home Wednesday. Jaclyn Coleman won the 200 meters, Savannah Dale won the 400 meters and Camille Porter won the 800 meters. The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Coleman, Madison Dills, Dale and Taylor Love won, as did the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Coleman, Dills, Porter an Dale. Heather Perry won the pole vault.
