A New Cut Road, Braselton, resident reported that someone had run over his mailboxes, damaged 20-feet of guardrail and left a vehicle in the woods on his property late last week.
A responding deputy ran the license plate of the vehicle and contacted the owner who advised that his 19-year-old daughter was driving the vehicle. He explained that she swerved to miss hitting a large animal and he had to pick her up a 5 a.m. after she had the accident.
The teen said she had fallen asleep while driving. She said she did not consume any alcoholic beverages.
