A new West Jackson Middle School principal was introduced to the Jackson County Board of Education on May 22.
Joe Cobb, a former assistant principal at Lanier High School in Buford (Gwinnett County), will take the place of Mary Ann Hale, who has transferred to an administrator position in East Jackson.
Former East Jackson Middle School assistant principal Tiffany Barnett will serve as the school’s principal next year. She takes the place of Heidi Hill, who took a job with the Jefferson School System.
Superintendent April Howard said Hale will be working with the eighth grade based at East Jackson Comprehensive High School and working with sixth and seventh grades at EJMS, as well as helping out with the re-launching of the Gordon Street school as a new learning center.
