The Hoschton Heritage & Arts Festival will be held this Saturday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Hoschton Towne Center, located off Ga. Hwy. 53.
The free event will feature a variety of entertainment throughout the day, artists and food vendors. The theme of the event is “A Tribute to Native America.” The vendors are limited to handmade or handcrafted items only.
The featured artists of this year’s event are beader and painter, Donna Bailey, and recording artist, Michael Jacobs.
The following is a list of performances, demonstrations, and scheduled artists and vendors slated to participate in the Hoschton Heritage Arts Festival on Saturday, June 7.
•11 a.m.: Kyle Clark, singer/song writer
•Noon: Plainsmen drum and dance troupe
•2 p.m.: Michael Jacobs, award-winning flutist
•4 p.m.: Lisa Martin, vocalist
The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
There will be a competitive event featuring artwork and photos that capture some aspect of the Native American culture. All art and photos will be judged and the winners will be announced immediately on the day of the festival. Each entry may be picked up at 5 p.m. at the Depot on the same day.
Winners will be chosen in both categories and monetary awards will be awarded. The art and or photos will be offered for sale at a price determined by the artist or photographer at the time the artwork or photo(s) is submitted.
