Students maybe out for the summer, but class is in session for the Banks County High School baseball team.
Just one month after the end of the regular season, the Diamond Leopards are practicing and competing weekly.
New head coach Tyson Baxter will have the opportunity to grow with his team this summer as the Leopards play a schedule packed full of games through the month of June.
Baxter noted that the Leopards have had solid attendance thus far, with around 21-23 players regularly on the diamond.
“We’ve had good numbers,” said Baxter. “All the kids I expected to be out here have been. I’d say we are having a successful summer so far.”
