A Wednesday evening storm dropped six-to-eight inches in the Harrison community, causing damage on several roads.
County commission chairman Anthony Dove said a bridge was washed out on Reed Brawner Road. A pipe collapsed on Mill Shoals Church Road. Both roads are temporarily closed.
There was also pipe damage on Abercrombie Circle and Pulliam Craddock Road. A pipe was stopped up on Cheek Pulliam Road. Dove said that logs and debris are sometimes washed down streams where they block pipes. Water then floods over roads.
Dove said the county will meet with Department of Transportation officials Friday to see what assistance the state can offer in repairs.
