AUBURN - Richard "Ricky" Howard Cannon, Jr., 60, passed away, Thursday, June 12, 2014.
He was the son of Richard and Pauline Cannon of Loganville. He was the former pastor of Apostolic Church of Hiawassee and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. Ricky was a member of Apostolic Church of Winder, and also a member of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Elaine Cannon, Auburn; daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Jeff Jaynes, Newland, N.C.; daughter, Michelle Cannon, Auburn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ned and Donna Cannon, Auburn, Ted and Marie Cannon, Statham, Terry and Cindy Cannon, Hoschton, Darrell and Dorothy Cannon, Winder, and Barry and Laura Cannon, Chester, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Randy Chesler, Loganville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane McMillian, Gillsville, Wylene Mosley, Buford, Janice McMillian, Lawrenceville, William and Judy McMillian, Chapesmanboro, Tenn., Wyatt and Anita Henson, Douglasville, and A.B. and Kim McMillian, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Jared, Bryce, Kyle and Hayden Jaynes, and Kendall and Kayden James.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at Apostolic Church of Winder with Pastor Tommy Baker officiating. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery in Newland, N.C. The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 13, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
