A deputy conducting a welfare check on a man at a Hwy. 124, Hoschton, residence, found the man driving a vehicle when he arrived. The man had a suspended license, but told the deputy he was driving a drunken friend home. He was arrested and so was another man at the residence who was wanted for felony probation violation.
Those arrested were Charles Richard Grindle, driving on a suspended license and Christopher Gregory Stewart, felony probation violation.
Other incidents reported last week to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office:
•a deputy stopped a vehicle on I-85, Braselton with an expired tag and cited the driver and had the vehicle towed.
•a deputy responded to an accident with no injuries on Hwy. 124 at Hwy. 52 in Braselton. The driver of one vehicle was arrested for driving on a suspended license.
•someone reported two flatbed trailers on the side of Jackson Trail Road, Hoschton.
