Commerce will celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, music and food on Saturday, June 28, from 6 to 10 p.m. in Spencer Park.
The Atlanta Highway Band will provide live music in the park, and vendors will be on hand to sell food and other items.
The fireworks will start at dark, launched from the J. Nolan Spear Jr. Public Safety Complex on South Elm Street and will be clearly visible from the park and throughout the rest of the downtown.
The event is a project of the Commerce Downtown Development Authority.
Families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs to the park.
Games, music, fireworks set in Nicholson Saturday night
Nicholson will hold its annual July 4 celebration featuring music, games and fireworks Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the city park.
Performers will be Ricky Fitzpatrick and Hooch Holler.
