COMMERCE - Ernest “Bugfuzz” Mitchell Minish, 71, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at his residence surrounded by loving family and friends.
A native of Madison County, he was born October, 2, 1942, the son of the late David Roland Minish and Reba Hanley Minish. He served in the United States Marine Reserves. He was retired from the University of Georgia, where he was employed as a brick mason. He was a member of Erastus Christian Church. Mr. Minish was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Lackey, Jeanette Ford, and Sylvia Cochran; and a nephew, John Michael Bellew.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Minish, Commerce; his daughter and son –in-law, Deanna and Mike Richards; daughter, Debbie Huxford; grandchildren, Micah and (Kaley), Caleb, and Titus Huxford, Jacksonville, Fla., Rachel and Jared Richards, Jefferson; brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Peggy Minish, Commerce; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane Cadwell, Commerce, Helen and Tommy Adams, Hull, Naomi and Andy Denton, Charlotte, N.C., and June and John Bellew, Nicholson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 7, at Erastus Christian Church with Pastors Ric Huxford and Steve Parker officiating. Burial was in the Minish Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were his six grandchildren.
