The 2014 runoff election will come to an end Tuesday, July 22, as voters make their choices on which candidates will move on to the general election.
All 12 county precincts will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
As of Wednesday morning, 290 people had voted early in the county elections office and 118 had submitted mailed ballots in the runoff. Of the 408 early ballots, 369 were Republican and 39 were Democratic. Early voting closed Friday.
Those who voted in the primary election must vote in the same party as their original ballot. For instance, someone who voted in the Republican primary can’t vote in the Democratic run-off — or vice versa.
Races on the Republican ballot will be:
•United States Senate — Jack Kingston and David Perdue.
•State School Superintendent — Mike Buck and Richard Woods.
Races on the Democratic ballot include:
•State School Superintendent—Alisha Morgan and Valarie Wilson.
