Braselton police officers recently responded to a residence after receiving several calls about a red minivan speeding through the neighborhood. A child was allegedly crying and yelling to onlookers to call 9-1-1.
Officers made contact with one of the alleged victims, who appeared at the door with her children and husband. According to officers, they appeared to be very upset and were all crying and shaking as if they had gone through a traumatic event.
The mother told officers that her son had asked to be driven to a party. When she denied this, he allegedly began kicking the radio and attempted to break the visor.
She told officers he opened the door while the car was moving and he bit and punched her after she tried to calm him down. When the boy’s sister tried to stop him, he allegedly punched her and bit her shoulder.
When they arrived home, the boy fled on foot. Officers found the boy who said that his mother and sister had initiated the altercation.
The boy was placed under arrest and transported to a Regional Youth Detention Center. During the drive, the boy allegedly asked for his phone so he could “get on Twitter.”
