The Banks County businessman charged with child molestation by the Banks County Sheriff’s Office earlier this month is out on bond.
Will Doc “Buddy” Fowlkes, Jr., 67, of Commerce, was arrested on Aug. 1, by Banks County investigators and charged with child molestation.
Fowlkes was the president of Sports Tech Training Center located at Banks Crossing and the two incidents allegedly occurred at that facility.
Captain Jeff Gribble said Fowlkes was released on a $162,500 bond, is on house arrest in DeKalb County – except for medical and court appearances — has to wear an ankle monitor and is not allowed to have any contact with anyone under the age of 18.
The training center was shut down following the incident.
“Sheriff (Carlton) Speed pulled the business license and turned them over to the Banks County Board of Commissioners for further review,” Gribble said.
Banks County authorities and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, are continuing to investigate the case.
Gribble said anyone with additional information or questions can call the sheriff’s office at 706-677-2248.
