A sock and a pair of dirty underwear lead police to an intoxicated suspect who was disturbing one Hoschton resident, according to an incident report.
A man at the West Jackson Villas told Hoschton police that he heard someone trying to open a side door at his residence. The man said the suspect didn’t bang on the door, but just rattled the handle.
The man then saw the suspect — described as a short, Hispanic man — on a neighbor’s porch. The suspect appeared very intoxicated and was staggering when he walked, the man said.
The man said the suspect went inside another apartment in the complex.
While searching the area, an officer found a sock near the man’s side door. The officer also found a pair of underwear with feces in it near the sock, according to an incident report.
The officer went to the apartment where the man said the suspect was last seen. The people in the apartment agreed to speak with the officer.
The officer said he noticed about 50 beer cans and bottles in the apartment. A young Hispanic man matching the description of the suspect appeared very intoxicated, the officer said.
The suspect said he drank 16 beers. The man confirmed that the suspect was the person who visited his residence.
An officer asked the other people in the apartment who provided the alcohol. One of the people in the apartment said he accompanied the suspect to a convenience store to buy alcohol.
The suspect — Enrique Martinez-Bravo, 20, of Hoschton — was charged with loitering or prowling and underage possession of alcohol. When he was arrested, police said the missing sock was found in his pocket.
Octavio Edgar, 30, of Hoschton, was charged with providing alcohol to a person under 21.
