The Jackson County Comprehensive High School girls’ soccer team won region 8-AAA by virtue of a (goals against) tie breaker this week. The Jefferson High School girls’ soccer team locked-up its state playoff position on April 19, knocking off Union County 2-1 in Blairsville. Jefferson High School continued its dominance this week, knocking off Oglethorpe County in a double-header at home Tuesday. The games ended 13-2 and 14-2 and both were called after five innings.
