The Lady Eagles of East Jackson became back-to-back region champs Saturday as they beat Jefferson 3-0 in the championship game. It was a tough region road for the Lady Eagles, who defeated Oglethorpe County 13-0 in their post season opener Tuesday, then moved on to beat Union County 3-1 later that evening. Commerce's Friday night win proved that the Tigers still have claws. The 49-20 win over Athens Christian marks the first region win for Commerce. The Mill Creek volleyball team ended the regular season last Thursday with wins against Meadowcreek and Lakeside. The Lady Hawks won both matches in two games, beating Meadowcreek by scores of 25-17 and 25-16 and topping Lakeside 25-13 and 25-16. Mill Creek was led by Lauren Rhodes with 14 kills.
