Danielsville’s city council voted Monday night to hire a new auditor to conduct the city’s annual audits, beginning with the 2008 audit. The decision came after discussion about the 2006 and 2007 audits, which are still not finished. Madison County SAT scores rise by 57 points

Madison County High School students scored an average of 1,482 on the SAT this year, up 57 points from 2007. A Colbert man was arrested last week and charged with reckless conduct and pointing a gun at another.
