It appears the burglars who vandalized the Chevron gas station at Ga. Hwy. 316 at Kilcrease Road in Auburn last week did so to drink beer. A store employee told responding deputies that she arrived at the business just before 8 a.m. on Sunday to find the front door had been broken. A Barrow County sheriff’s deputy knew who he was looking for Jan. 22 after a Chevrolet Cavalier had been reported missing from an Auburn Dollar General store parking lot — the suspected car thief was caught on video taking the car from the parking lot.
