The East Jackson Eagles hit the field for the first official week of practice beginning last Friday. After a solid freshman season, the Eagles move into region play for their sophomore year. East Jackson will face West Hall on the road in their season opener on Aug. 29.

Pre-season high school football practice officially got underway on Friday. The Commerce Tigers have been working hard to get ready for their Aug. 29 season opener, when they'll play host to the Jefferson Dragons. Head coach Steve Savage says his team will focus on the fundamentals as they prepare for the 2008 season.
