MAYSVILLE - Coy David Marlow, 81, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
He was born in Banks County, the son of the late William David and Zadie Shubert Marlow. He was a member of Free Chapel and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Marlow was retired from Westinghouse and also as a bus driver with the Banks County School System. He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Louise Westmoreland; and brothers, James L. Marlow, Bobby Marlow and Edward Marlow.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Montez Parson Marlow, Maysville; daughters, Annette Ayers, Gainesville, Vera Bryson, Homer, and Penny Rockett, Maysville; sons, David Marlow, Maysville, Darrell Marlow, Gillsville, Matthew Marlow and Alvin Marlow, both of Maysville; sisters, Lena Griswald, Cornelia and Diane Wills, Jefferson; brother, Johnny Marlow, Redwood Falls, Minn.; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Mullinax and Tracy Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, October 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
