BOE closes meeting to self-assess

The Barrow County Board of Education met during a called meeting Oct. 4 to discuss board members’ self-assessments through a process provided by the Georgia School Boards Association. The meeting, lasting two-and-a-half hours, took place behind closed doors. BOE chairman Mark Still said the reason the board was meeting behind closed doors was because a large part of the discussion was related to personnel, including superintendent Wanda Creel.
